The secret to our success in producing outstanding wines is our vineyards. The Augusta area was chosen as the first viticultural area in the United States because of our unique soils, microclimate, and history, and it is our mission to produce wines that exemplify the uniqueness of this eleven square mile area.Plan to visit Montelle Winery during your Augusta vacation using our convenient Augusta attractions planner.
Our philosophy is to farm our vineyards with a respect for the land and the environment. As a result, our wines are fresh, fragrant, focused, and well balanced, but most of all, express the uniqueness of our vineyards. It is this attention to detail that has enabled us to produce wines that are continuously recognized for their uniqueness and superior quality.
In addition to our wines, Montelle is also the first winery in Missouri with a distillery. We produce various kinds of brandy including: apple, peach, cherry and grape (grappa).
Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you select the perfect wine for any occasion.
We also aspire to reveal the pleasures of pairing fine wine and food. Therefore, our Klondike Café offers fresh, high quality cuisine to complement our wines. Choose from a wide selection of gourmet wraps, salads, sandwiches and pizzas to be enjoyed on our vast deck, where it is easy to lose yourself in a magnificent view of the Missouri River Valley.
The next time you have a meeting, event or just a weekend outing to plan, please keep “Missouri’s most scenic winery” in mind.

Montelle Winery reviews
Not a wine connoisseur and went at a friend's recommendation. Had 3 wines, red , white and rose, all were really good. The buffalo pizza was amazing as well Did get hot under direct sunlight, could use umbrellas with adjustment / tilt. Great view and weather, ride to the top was a pleasure too. Will try to visit again when in the area.
Gorgeous scenery, excellent food choices, and live music to top of a great overall ambiance for our Sunday Afternoon. We got their version of a charcuterie board (which ACTUALLY feeds the table), pretzels and garlic bread for the kiddos. The live music was yacht jam style, inviting everyone to dance along as they wish. Over all we had a great time and will return. Wine wise? Semi-sweet is sweet. Semi-dry is sweet. Heads up for those of you thinking there's a middle ground here Dry is pretty great, and sweet is flavorful for sure.
