This is a fascinatingly curated and constructed pile of junk in someones private backyard. Reach out to him ahead of time. We didn't realize we needed to do it but he was kind enough to let us walk around since there was already another small group there. There is so much to look at and his story about its growth over the years is interesting. Small suggested donation- well worth it. It's also a 15ish minute drive out of downtown
It was very easy to call and make an appointment (you have to make an appointment as the Cathedral is literally in his backyard). The Cathedral of Junk is much larger than I expected, it has 3 stories! Vince gave us a brief rundown and has a small gallery showing the history of the place. My favorite part was being able to meet him since seldom do you get to see a piece of art and meet the artist at the same time. Also, pro-tip: when he offers you bug spray, use it!
