We go to several music shows per year. During the summer they have old movies showing. Fantastic venue; 100+ years old. more »
This is an Austin landmark that everyone should visit. The decor is regal and the layout of the theater feels nice and intimate. The best part is that folks in the balcony don't suffer too much in terms of view, but it is a little scary because the railing is low.
I saw Mike Birbiglia in this theater. And during the show he responded to a heckler eating, "come on man, you can't heckle in this place. It's just too classy." And I have to say that is a very apt description of the Paramount. It's old school beautiful rather than modern and sterile. Complete with box seats. A lot of amazing showed happen their quite regularly.
