  • Me and my three sons love escape rooms and have done many in Austin. The Escape Game is our favorite for many reasons, these being the top three: puzzles are satisfyingly complex and diverse; room des...  more »
  • We had an great time with my teenage children, nieces and parents at the Escape Game. This was truly challenging and a great group activity. I would honestly do it again.  more »
  • I’ve done over 100 escape rooms and this place is in the top 10! Unique, great puzzles, and an amazing atmosphere! In town on business and hoping to squeeze another one in before we leave town.  more »

  • Very fun. First, second, and third escape rooms I've done after having such a good time on the first one. I escaped through all three and my order from favourite to least favourite is prison break, gold rush, the heist. That said they are all very good, and you will not be disappointed going to any of them. Like the other reviewers said, the employees are great, and they seem genuinely interested, excited, and open to criticism of what the room does well and what it did poorly or questions you have. I would suggest going only with just friends, but that isn't really doable on weekends. Try to find a time earlier in the morning on a weekday. Having other people isn't bad, but I had a more enjoyable time with just me and a friend than a whole group since you get to experience all of the puzzles and thinking.
  • Excellent fun! I brought my team from work here and we had a blast. We did "Prison Break" which is the hardest one (unbeknownst to us when booking) with only a 10% success rate. We were 2 steps away from completing it, so I felt pretty good about our effort. There were only 4 of us and the game can have up to 8 so we were paired with another group. If it's your first try at an escape game, I recommend starting with Playground or one of the easier ones. It was a great team builder and I would highly recommend this place. We will be going back for sure! Price seemed reasonable for the quality of game.
  • Prior to visiting the Escape Game Austin, we had actually completed four of the available rooms at Escape Game Dallas. We loved them so much that we made sure to do Classified while we were in Austin as to complete them all. From the moment you walk in the environment is professional, clean, and engaging. The girl at the front desk (I didn't catch her name but she had curly hair and glasses) was awesome and polite. she asked us about our other experiences and made an effort to get to know us as customers. After we signed the waivers, we were introduced to our game master, Dave. Dave was awesome from start to finish. You can tell he enjoys his job and wants to contribute to the guests having a good time even when they struggle with dumb things. As for the room itself, it was different than the other four rooms they have but it was still first class. The set up of the room along with the decor and everything else really does a lot to make you feel like you are really part of the story. Not every escape room does this and it makes a big difference when they do. The other four room have more puzzles that involve problem solving whereas Classified has a little more "search-and-find" type of feel to it. If you haven't done an escape room before, this may not be the best first one (I would recommend their Gold Rush) but if you have some experience then you should definitely attempt this room. The two of us made it out with 2 minutes to spare (and a lot of help from Dave) and as with the Escape Game Dallas, I would highly recommend this one as well to anyone look for the best Escape Room experience out there. I have done a number of rooms at a number of different places and these two establishments would be rated at the top of my list.
  • Positive: very well designed, challenging puzzles. Everything was in-tune with the theme. Plenty of originality, which is surprising to find once you've done a bunch of these. We had a lot of fun and will definitely be going back. Negative: you don't book the whole room like in other places, you book a slot for each person in the game. There were 4 of us, and they were going to pair us with 3 strangers. They were late, so we had to wait 30 minutes for them. In the end they never showed up, so we got the game to ourselves. Making paying customers [that show up on time] wait for strangers is not cool.
  • Me and co-workers did the gold rush scape room. I have to say it's very fun and the Clues are well put together one gets you to the other. They made it so interactive there is a slide , BB gun and manual water pump. In all it we had a lot of fun. We were able to scape.
