Thinkery, Austin

#4 of 26 in Museums in Austin
Science Museum · Hidden Gem · Children’s Museum
Thinkery is Austin’s home for “why” and “how.” A place where science and families play side by side. Where people connect with ideas by doing, making and experiencing. It’s a foundry for a new generation of innovators and creative problem solvers. And it’s a heck of a good time.

  • Great place that has many hands on for little ones. There's so many stores around it. There's a movie theater, bakery, apartments and Dell Children's to name a few. Parking was close by and so is a little playground by the lake/river. The kids had fun. They offer military discount also and have Summer camps.
  • Great place for kids, but it is far too small for this growing city of Austin. It is often super busy, and I can’t understand why they didn’t make a bigger building. They do have many fun projects and offerings that we’ve enjoyed, such as the gingerbread house making and Halloween themed night.
