Urban Axes Austin reviews
In January 2019 I visited a friend and he brought me there for a friends' birthday! I thought it wpuld be boring, but it was quite interesting to learn and fun to "play" qith axes... the learning... more »
Loved our time tossing steel at Urban Axes. We had a group of 7 with ZERO experience there for several hours. Our time went by quickly as Chelsea's expert training turned us all in to marksmen... more »
So the staff here... wow... these associates have combined with perfection the qualities of professionalism, authenticity, informative, and friendliness. They keep the place extremely safe without adding a single bit of stress to the atmosphere. Most of the time we kept forgetting that the employees actually worked there. It felt like they were our friends, that’s how good of a time they are. I continuously found myself trying to offer the employees White Claws as if they were part of our party, because I kept forgetting they actually worked their (yes, White Claws, no shame). They were professional, and always turned down our drinks, but that is just a testament to how great the staff is at being personable and social while simultaneously teaching us and providing a safe atmosphere, which seems like an impossible feat when you combine white people and White Claws. The other customers who come to Urban Axes Austin are also such an amazing group of people. They were so friendly and fun to be around. There were also leagues taking place while we were there, and all of the league members were having so much fun, to the point where my friends and I will be registering for the next league in October. This place is perfect for anything whether a private party, a date, or just friends hanging out. The place is full of positive energy and the environment is so safe. Thank you so much to the associates here who made this night so memorable.
I definitely have to say that I was unsure when I decided to join my company outing and do some ax throwing. I had figured it would be straightforward and we would throw some axes and it might be a little dangerous. I am pleased to report that I was absolutely wrong. I need to hand it to our wonderful coaches, Lynx and Aaron. They made this a wonderful experience. They both have out bug group the right time and dedication to showing us how to improve, whether I released too early or bent my wrist. These subtle changes made the difference and I'm grateful for that because I felt I improved. If the two if you see this, thank you so so much for making us feel welcome and for giving us a great time. Seriously, if you've never been before, give it a shot. It's absolutely worth it.
