  • I love the mini train ride and the botanic garden. The spring water swimming pool is famous. I didn't go swimming but spent some time in the small information room next door.  more »

  • Zilker Park is a fun place where a lot of people and hobbies and interests intersect. The park is a lot of things to a lot of people. To me it’s just like a nice park and it has a great spring fed pool and dog area. Also, the concession stand used to have one of the best burgers in town! I have enjoyed going to Zilker Park since 1990. I used to drive the train when I was a younger man. Hey- Thank you!
  • Had such a great time at this pool. It's not everyday you get to find a freshwater pool. You even get to enjoy the Austin skyline while taking a dip. Definitely bring your towels and floating materials if you are into it. The admissions desk only take cash so if you intend to pay with card, you'll need to purchase a ticket at one of the kiosks.
  • We liked canoeing here however water wasn't Clean this time. Last year in March it was much better than today! Could see turtles and frogs that time. Request for those private canoe and kayak rental shops and government to take a look at lake for cleanliness. Train ride was fun :)
  • Was here with family on long weekend. Huge park but no attendents or proper signs. No amenities. Dirty cramped toilet. I hated unleashed pets in the stream and water was very dirty too. Algae all over on the rocks in the stream. Be careful. But you can have fun kayaking or canoeing.
  • this place is amazing. There is so much to do whether it's taking a dip in the Barton Springs Pool or taking out a kayak on the river. It's like an oasis in the middle of downtown and if you didn't know better you wouldn't know that you're in the middle of a city. It's beautiful here. It is definitely a place that you have to visit when visiting Austin.
