  after the boardwalk ends, you have a very pretty walk through some trees, but beware that the path branches multiple times, if you don't stay on the biggest of the paths, you risk getting lost...  more »

  Super great place to get out of the car and enjoy the magic of the badlands. Great pictures around every corner. Bring good shoes and if it’s been raining it’s very slippery.

  This is my favorite little trail in Badlands National Park, however I work here, so I might be a bit prejudiced. It is a half mile long, and is part boardwalk and part regular trail, but it does climb to a high point and gives you a good view of the lower prairie, and it also goes through a small copse of woods, which is a bit unusual in badlands. It is somewhat passable even when wet, which is different than most of the trails. A nice trail that isn't too long for those of us who aren't major hikers.
