Drive the scenic Loop Road to explore the beauties of Badlands National Park. Approximately 64 km (40 mi) long, the road winds through the park, following the contours of nature. Stop at some of the many overlooks with parking areas to admire the scenery and take photos. Many of these spots offer hiking trails, too. Throughout the park, you may see bighorn sheep, prairie dogs, bison, and more animals. Because the road is inside a national park, an admission fee is charged at the road's entrance.
