Great farm to visit. The tour guides are excellent (thank you Emily), animals are clean, happy, well-kept and approachable, and the views are stunning. The farm has alpaca, goats, llamas, donkeys, horses, cows, chickens, pigs, greeter dogs, and livestock guardian dogs. (You cannot take your dog on the tour, so if you're travelling with a pet, it will have to stay in your car.) There's an abundance of gravel and dust. I saw people in sandals, but closed shoes will keep your feet happy. You can buy some lovely yarn made from the farm's animals, and terrific socks, as well as farm fresh eggs. Start your day with scenic drive, 45 minute tour and a visit to the gift shop, and visit the town of Banner Elk for some good food. Perfect afternoon!
