We biked the carriage road around the lake. There were decent hills all around the lake and it was quite the workout. We did this and then the Ocean Path and my legs were sore the next day. Lots of nice views of the lake and forest and the carriage roads are very well maintained. Packed gravel path that was doable with my road bike, but definitely better suited for a gravel bike or mountain bike.

Calm lake in Acadia national park. You can try biking on the carriage paths around this lake. It is a nice experience.
