The George B. Dorr Museum is worth checking out while visiting Bar Harbor. My daughter loves animals so we decided to check out the museum on a rainy morning during our week stay in Bar Harbor. We were highly impressed by the variety of animals and details on display created by past students and professors. While it is a small museum, it is packed with beautifully preserved animals and a good amounts of hands on items to explore.
This is an awesome museum! The exhibits created by the students are amazing we were all blown away at the poses and scenes they created! Staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable. This is a must do especially if you have kids! Ours loved the interactive tide pool!
