  • This a great small museum. It has an eclectic mix of art that is well displayed. Children would not get bored here. The staff is professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

  • Beautiful museum...inside & out! Kellie gave us the tour of the Scrimshaw Whale Bone Carving Art, the Mark Perry wood carving art & the Cahoon Original Home 🏡 & paintings art... really nice museum with the Historical Home with wide pine painted & stenciled floors blended with a modern addition with Hickory Floors. Nice gift shop too.
  • I think it's a lovely museum located in two former artists' home. The woman worked in stencils and her husband was famous for his mermaids. We viewed 2 current exhibits from numerous scrimshaw artists, which was fascinating, and wood sculptures from another artist. Much of the family's furniture was moved to house these exhibits.
