Phillips Petroleum Company Museum, Bartlesville

Having in worked in the petro-chemical field for a little over thirty years it was nice to see a very nice slide of history of refineries, Phillips and the Bartlesville. You know its going to be a good time, when you walk into the place and you meet a most fascinating woman, that worked for Phillips for fifty-five years. We chatted with her for about fifteen minutes. These are the people that make places interesting. The rest of the museum did not disappoint. My buddy and I were very impressed with the amount of information, the layout of the museum, the history, and the displays. I've been to a few other museums of major companies and this was on par with them, (S.C. Johnson Wax in Racine comes to mind). I missed seeing this place in February of 2021 due to its closing for Covid and wanted to come back, and I'm glad I did. I would recommend this to anyone even remotely interested in history and specifically the history of Phillips. I got to think if you've come to Bartlesville most like it was for Phillips or for the Frank Lloyd Wright Price Tower, and if that is the case, this stop is well worth the stop.
