We were here off-season on the Monday before Christmas. We practically had the museum to ourselves. It was very interesting and informative. Nicely done. It was icy with snow on the ground that day...

We were in Bath, ME in October. It was a side trip which my friend resisted. "Shipbuilding!?? Blah, Boring". However, I was driving so she literally "came along for the ride". Blah, boring couldn't be further from the truth. Bath, ME had a very important role in building ships, perfecting design. There are over 20,000 items in this collection. You get an education in what's involved in building a ship. There are also Guided Tours, boat tour on the river, many demonstrations. Wooden shipbuilding is fundamental to this area of Maine. Maine has more to offer than just spectacular Parks, Lobster & Fall Colors. Bath offers another perspective on this stunning state. Interesting town too with some great restaurants.

Top notch attraction. We went because everything was wheel chair accessible. The boat is accessible but restrooms are not. Use the museum building before boarding. My grandson loved it.
