North Boulevard Town Square is a spectacular greenspace development that has transformed the disjointed area between North Boulevard and River Road into a lively downtown center where the city's cultural and civic attractions come together for all to enjoy. While this area was previously unusable with virtually no tree cover to protect visitors from the relentless Louisiana heat, it has now become the city's premier social gathering place — featuring more than an acre of open green space and innovative water features that help cool the landscape and a multitude of high-tech amenities to entertain visitors.
A visit to North Boulevard Town Square represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Baton Rouge trip itinerary planning website to plot your vacation.

  • Developed under former Mayor Kip Holden, downtown square is a gathering point for concerts and weekend socializing. A number of new restaurants surround the square.

  • They are really trying to revitalize the downtown BR area and this is a nice addition. Good area for music during certain times of the year, good place for 5K runs, excellent for Jambalaya cookoff...

  • Beautiful place. Small, clean and just feels good. Music is piped in and there are tables and chairs under the ancient oaks. Lovely place to have lunch; even prettier in the quiet of the afternoon/evening.
  • One of the best places to be when baton rouge has events going on. The have music and festivities all the time. Parades come for almost every holiday. Awesome
