Fort Totten is rich with History. You can see it in the architecture if you choose to explore this park. After a 4 mile run I took the opportunity to visit the site and enjoyed every step of the way. The grounds were well manicured and the Spring tulips and other flowers were in perfect bloom. I had a Fantastic visit and plan to return with my family.

We usually trek to Brooklyn Bridge Park or LIC on days when it's warm enough to want to be near the water but not in the water. This is a great alternative with beautiful views, history and plenty of space. There isn't much shade but there was a nice breeze along the water. Huge parking lot but it fills up fast so get there early or be prepared to wait and jockey for a spot on weekends.
