  • This place was fantastic. I can't wait to go back and walk it again. It's a method to walk the back door of the Bay St businesses. A walk of respect to military members, and a brief Beaufort history compliment an historic member of South Carolina past. The playground was wonderful as well with numerous platforms to allow a little one to play safely and to indulge their imaginations.
  • I have mixed feelings about the waterfront park. The park itself is very nice and in a great location. The swings are great to sit on, in the shade, and look out over the waterfront. That is why I gave it 5 stars. I was very disappointed in the water front festival. We were staying in Hilton Head and decided to visit the festival on are way home. After all the media coverage and hype I just felt that there was not that much there. I've been to many other festivals that have a lot more vendors, food booths and activities.
  • Lovely waterfront area with great places to sit and watch sail boats and the turning bridge. Also, great place to walk or run. Playground area for children with a clean bathroom close by. Lots of restaurants, ice cream shops, and retail stores within walking distance. And also, located in a historic district so lots of historical places to visit and learn about Beaufort history.
  • Nice place for kids to play and for parents to sit on the benches and look out into the river. Did you know that the bridge you see from the park is the bridge that Forest Gump ran across in the movie? A lot of movies were filmed in Beaufort. Great park but has a parking toll ($0.75 per hour). Great stop to stretch out after driving on the road. Would recommend if you have kids and you are in the area! Nice ice cream and chocolate shop nearby too for the little ones after they run around!
  • This was a rather weird visit. I was born and raised in the area. Lived there for 25 years. My cousin and I had not seen each other in 26 years and we're surprised to find out we were in town at the same time. For old times sake we went to the park. Surprise even more to find out there is a parking fee. Guess we should have opted for the beach.
