What a gem in Beaumont! We were on a road trip driving between New Orleans and Austin and stayed in Beaumont for the night. I looked up what there is to do and see and I'm so glad I saw the... more »
Very cool place. It's a really neat place to check out and learn a little bit about old Beaumont. We took the full tour, we were told it would be 45 min to 1 hour long. It took closer to 2 hours total. The staff was very friendly and happy to answer any questions. Both our tour guides were very informative. The property is extremely well taken care of, the house has a large array of items from the late 1800s to mid 1900s. The tour also covers the servants quarters. Not much to see but it is there. Overall a nice tour to take if you are either from the area or here looking for historical tours.
Very well kept landmark. Tour was good but long. About an hour and half. No pictures allowed. And you have to leave your purse in a locker so be prepared. We enjoyed all the info overall.
