The Buckeye Recreation Center has a fabulous indoor facility dedicated to expanding the recreational needs of residents and visitors alike: full-size gymnasium, indoor tennis, meeting areas, fitness area with state-of-the-art equipment, kid's playroom, living room area, and an indoor walking track. The Buckeye Lake Park also offers outdoor recreation: tennis, walking track, ball fields, hiking trails, picnic shelters, fishing, boating, a campfire area, and picnic spots.

Beech Mountain Parks & Recreation operates several parks and over 20 miles of hiking and biking trails on Beech Mountain, including the Beech Mountain Bark Park.
