Eckert’s Country Store & Farms is the largest family-owned and operated pick-your-own orchard in the United States. Established as a farm and simple roadside stand, the Eckert family now owns and operates farming, entertainment and retail entities in Belleville, Grafton and Millstadt in southwestern Illinois. For a century, Eckert’s has served the bi-state region as a local source for agricultural products including pick-your-own strawberries, blackberries, peaches, apples, pumpkins and Christmas trees during the growing season. Today, Eckert’s offers an experience that extends beyond pick-your-own produce to include the Eckert’s Country Store & Garden Center, and the newly expanded Restaurant. Eckert’s offers specialty foods, meats, wine and cheese selections, as well as a range of classes, including cooking and wine classes for adults, and special children’s activities for families to enjoy throughout the year.

  • The Country Restaurant is just one of many wonderful things Eckert's has to offer. My grandfather and father and myself all moved to St. Louis as young adults (3 separate moves that is) and all had a love for Eckert's that has been passed down and spread. I do not typically eat at the restaurant, but a group of friends caught their special brunch for a birthday celebration and the food was great. I am not sure if the brunch setup is year round or seasonal, but eating there for any meal/occasion is likely to be successful.
  • Would have been a FIVE star review. The only negative was the LINER between the tray and the food. I get it, the liner is appropriate for the fried Chicken, fries, burgers and the like, but it is not appropriate for mashed potatoes, green beans and the country fried steak with gravy as it became saturated and it deteriorated. I would have preferred the meal be served on a plate minus any paper liner. I hope that management understands. All else, portion size, temperature, service and flavor was fine.
