#3 of 11 in Parks in Bellevue
Mercer Slough Nature Park provides an opportunity to switch your leisurely city walks for something more earthy, wild, and rural. The natural pathways and trails guide through the park, surrounded by towers of trees and winding rivers, making this a home for Bellevue's wildlife, a peaceful place for a family hike, or a solitary run. Kayaking provides a distinctive introduction to these marshlands. Protect yourself from bugs during the summer, but do not be discouraged, as this is also the precise season for picking blueberries from the nearby blueberry farm. Arrive prepared with appropriate footwear, as some trails can be muddy. A visit to Mercer Slough Nature Park represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Bellevue online trip itinerary planner to plot your vacation.

  • This is one of my favorite places to walk my dogs because it is always quiet and well-kept. My only complaint, and I hope the staff is reading this, is that there are no trash cans at ground level. I frequently have to dispose of trash I find laying around because people don't realize the only trashcan in the entire park is up two huge flights of steps up against one of the education center buildings. Please please please put at least one trash can at ground level so we don't have to carry dog poo bags around for an hour. :)
  • Absolutely great park in the middle of an urban area and next to the highway too! You don't really notice the highest mostly because the brush and trees tend to tune out the noise. Great urban place for a hike, a jog, a run, whatever fits your mood! Parking is currently limited due to light rail construction.
