  • Loved hiking the trails here! The river trail destination is worth every step you take to get there! Wish I knew if you could fish there...its a perfect spot!!  more »
  • A coworker had mentioned Sarett to me as a place I should check out for hiking. He has family that lives in that area and had visited many times over the years. I dragged my 16yo daughter out of.....  more »

  • This place was great. Our kids (4 and 2) could spend all day here, rain or shine. The outdoor area was particularly fun, with the obstacle course path to the tree top bridge. The price is very reasonable and the only negative I had was the extra charge for the butterfly exhibit, which is not huge, although in fairness, we're from Indianapolis and our zoo had a very large butterfly exhibit, the extra charge is only a few bucks and I just considered it like a donation. We'll definitely be back.
  • I went to the Sarett trails on a nice summer afternoon for a break while on a project in St Joseph. It was only about 10 minutes from my hotel. I got there around 4pm and i read that they closed at 5pm, but thankfully the lady said that only the Nature Center closes at 5pm, but the trails close at dark, so i still had several hours to hike. So i paid my 3 dollars and was on my way. The trails are very well marked and kept and they go in every direction from the nature center. I started by going on a short trek to the Tree Top Walkway which is a great stilted walkway out over the tree tops of the creek bed... to me, that alone was worth the 3 bucks. After that I went on the 2 mile loop of the Upland and Lowland Trails. It was great hiking, A lot of ups and downs and nice scenery. It has been unseasonably wet recently so the Lowland Trails were a bit muddy but my shoes didn't even get wet. I'm from Florida so the bugs and wetness were not that bad compared to home. There were lots of birds, wildflowers, ponds, creeks , and the Paw Paw river. It was great. I will return to walk the rest of the trails before the end of my project. 5 stars.
