The museum features artifacts from across the Americas covering over 14,000 years of history. The museum chooses to focus on the broader history of Native Americans as a whole, rather than any specific tribe and is laid out in roughly chronological order beginning around 12,000 BC and ending around 1900 AD.

Whatever you have planned don’t miss this museum. It is absolutely amazing. We stayed for 2.5 hours and it flew by. There is an audio device for over 100 of the exhibits to enhance your visual experience. If you enjoy museums, this is a world class visit start to finish.

People surprise me when they say they have never heard of this place. It’s free and they have AMAZING artifacts from all time periods. You also get to find an arrowhead in the rocks out front. The kids love that. The people that work there are very nice and knowledgeable, it’s got to take bigs and littles. I’ve enjoyed coming here the past 5 years and seeing what the kids have picked up on. They are learning more than you know. There is something for everyone. Enjoy! Don’t forget the gift shop! Admission is free so don’t leave without a souvenir.
