Originally opened as a five-and-dime store in 1950 by Sam Walton, the building now houses a museum featuring exhibits and a reconstruction of the original dime store which boasts original floor tiles, a tin ceiling, and supplies that the shop would have sold. • It makes me love Walmart more! Knowing its background in depth changes everything for me. The employees are so proud of being part of it and make you be proud of this experience. Lovely place with so much history. Go see it! Don’t miss it!
  • Journeyed from Jamaica to Kansas to Bentonville Arkansas to visit this site ! We met Tim and he was super friendly! I felt so welcomed there. The entire atmosphere was welcoming and I enjoyed the historic moment of it all. If you are there, I recommend typing your name and have it printed out! My nephew found the gem.!
