All of the work at Weston Studio Glass is made by artist Michelle Weston. Michelle was born in New Zealand and immigrated to the United States with her family as a child. Most of her childhood was spent outdoors, sketching and then painting the natural environment. By college she focused on paintings of rivers and streams. At Hastings College in Hastings,Nebraska Michelle was introduced to the craft of glassblowing. For Michelle the attraction to glass as a medium was immediate both in the physical nature of the process and the properties of glass itself. It was a natural progression to move from looking at the interaction of light and water to interpreting it thru the translucency and transparency of layers of glass. After graduation Michelle went on to a Masters of Fine Art at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Had an amazing time. Great teacher. Wonderful experience. I have zero experience in glass blowing and the teacher was very patient and knowledgeable. Got to make 2 different pieces. This is great for anyone who would like to try it and would like to see what it is about. She is very safe and will guide you through each step. Very hard to make a mistake as she can fix them before it gets out of hand. I highly recommend this and will likely take another one of her classes in the future.
