Berkeley Springs State Park is situated in the center of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, USA. The centerpiece of the Park is its historic mineral spa. These waters were celebrated for their medicinal or restorative powers and were generally taken internally for digestive disorders, or bathed in for stress relief. Native peoples visited these springs as did George Washington. Lovely area. I enjoyed walking all around taking in all the history offered. Only suggestion would be to update a few of their informational signs. Some were difficult to read. Great experience...

First time sauna and roman bath here. Very well organized. Towels, robes, lockers with key, soap/shampoo for shower provided. Very private. Thank you Sheryl for your graciousness!

Definitely a necessary stop when you are in the area. If you enjoy history, check out the office - the hall is lined with pictures of what it used to look like. The current rooms are neat as well. The gazebo is also fun to play in and there are plenty of places nearby for treats. Parking is limited, but there is paid street parking nearby or free parking a few blocks away.

The park is small, but nice. You can see crayfish and minnows in the spring, and bubbles of gases percolating up through the water. The only distraction is the highway 522 noise. You can't do anything about that. My wife and I had 2 spa days. I rather liked the masseuse I had on day 2. He found knots in my back and worked them out. First time that's happened! They don't talk about tipping, but you can. **Update** So a year later, my back is still great. I'm upgrading to 5 stars. Being pain-free for this long beats the highway noise.
