Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links, Berlin

#1 of 28 in Golf in Maryland
Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links has become one of Maryland's premier golf courses located just outside of Ocean City. This spectacular seaside design by the world-renowned father/son team of Pete & P.B. Dye opened in the spring of 1997. Located on Highway 611 on the Sinepuxent Bay overlooking Assateague National Seashore Park. Mother Nature and the Dye's have combined talents to bring world-class golf to the Ocean City area.

This Scottish-style links course features bent-grass on the fairways and greens. Rum Pointe has beautifull bay views, with several holes having direct bay frontage, where you can start your ball over the water to shorten the hole. The Dyes have certainly created situations of risk and reward that will quicken the heart rate of even the most experienced golfer. From the back tees this championship quality course is capable of hosting a PGA Tour stop but forgiving enough from the middle tees to satisfy golfers of all skill levels.

To maintain superior course conditions, we are an alternative spike facility. Please refrain from wearing metal spikes. Thank you (Spike changing services provided at Pro Shop). • This is one of my favorite golf courses anywhere. I’ve played here several times in the spring and late fall. Every time the course is in great condition and the views of the water and Assateague...  more »
  • Always a pleasant day playing Rum Pointe. In very good shape and a well layed out course. By far the best course at the beach.  more »

  • Amazing. Best golf course I've played. It's great because it was built by the Dye's, has views of the bay for 15 holes; two holes run against it. It's great because it was built to be a great golf course, not to sell homes, or private memberships or increase land value but yo be a beautiful accessible public golf course built by a royal family of golf course architects. Its amazing. It's been rates first in state for public golf, has the same superintendent since During construction. Same starter for 21 years! You pay and then go to driving range which borders first tee so it's right there! Free range balls, second to none service. It's just an amazing experience and I recommend to everyone over and over and over.
  • Played it today, course is in great shape. It’s pretty soft out here, which makes the course by the Dye duo play a little fairer. Lots of good holes and nice bayside views. The par 4’s here are dogs, par 3’s and 5’s totally reasonable, making this a pretty fun track. Good vacation course, not much of a practice area for sand and wedges but there is a grass range- which needs some flattening work, that’s my only negative takeaway from here. Enjoy!
