    Thomas Rock is an easy hike that someone with a walker did. Great vistas. And nice little information plaques about the local flora along the way up. When we got to the top, we noticed "Detroit Edison 1957" etched into the stone. Unsure about the origins of the namesake...

    Pretty place with lots of nature information flap signs. You can see Independence Lake and the Big Bay of Lake Superior. Lotta of restroom and trash receptacles and am easy drive from Marquette. Definitely so on the way out back from Big Bay.
