  • Our extended family of 11 had a great time with Geyser! We had an age range of 8 to 68 and everyone had a great time. Our guides were fantastic and great at accommodating each person's skill level. Two of the older members of our group had had shoulder surgery, and they were able to participate without issue. I have been on several whitewater rafting trips, and the staff at Geyser is top notch. As for the ride down the Gallatin river, it was pretty good. None of the rapids were too difficult, which was good for the whole family. But, they were exciting enough that we had a fun, exciting time. (Some of the more adventurous would have like some tougher rapids). The 2 hour trip was just right for families with children.
  • A family friendly, educational, yet thrilling adventure when visiting Big Sky! We chose the class-II/class-III trip. It takes about an hour and 45 minutes for the rafting portion with a great mix of calm with rapids mixed in throughout. Overall, it's about 3 hours with the other rigamarole. Honestly, I was a bit nervous. You get a lot of info in the beginning, and I didn't know what class-III would be like (I did a bit of research,) but with our Raft Guide (Mel), things were made easy so that we could enjoy the ride. And Mel was great all throughout! Seems like they have a great team put together and that they all get along. So, I definitely recommend. I'd do it again for sure! One last thing, the Gallatin River is cold. You can, and should, rent the wet suit and booties. You won't regret the minor expenditure.
