  • The old guys who tell you about coal mining are the best part of this tour. They know "everything". The displays are great.

  • Thank you, museum interpreter, coalminer, Freddy Elkins; you made my father's days in the mines real for my family. I had tried to share that with young people for years...but...after an afternoon...

  • I learned so much at this museum. We need to all thank the coal miners for many things we have and use everyday to there work.
  • Interesting local history of coal mining displaying safety equipment and tools. Most interesting was the live presentation by a life long coal miner, Freddie, describing his personal life and his career as a coal miner. As I was the only person present at the infrequently visited museum, I got the royal tour.
