Limekiln State Park is a California state park on the Big Sur coast. It contains four lime kilns from an 1887–1890 lime-calcining operation, plus a beach, redwood forest, and 100-foot (30 m) Limekiln Falls. It is located 2 miles (3.2 km) south of Lucia on Big Sur Coast Highway. The 711-acre (288 ha) park was established in 1994.

  • Spent a couple of hours exploring this small park....beautiful waterfall is a bout a 20 minute easy-moderate hike and you spend the time by the river and surrounded by redwoods and sequoias.

  • Love taking last minute mini trips. Been here many many times. Fresh air. Usually really cool warmer in summer months. Good hiking
  • One of my favorite stops along the 1. Amazing views, pristine beach and at sunset it's just gorgeous. Plus, they have a clean bathroom and some picnic benches. Make sure you pay the day use fee, as the Rangers are always watching.
