The indoor, winter market begins in January - April 1st. This smaller market focuses on Alabama goods grown during the winter months.
The outdoor market begins April 8 - December 10th and expands to 29th Street South from the Dr. Pepper parking lot on 2nd Ave South.
Local chefs are on hand for a live cooking demo beginning each Saturday during our outdoor market on 29th Street at 9 am.
The Market at Pepper Place also features a variety of local makers, who bring their hand-made goods to market, too. Local food producers also sell their home made goods each week!

We love the Saturday Market at Pepper Place! So many Family Farms are there selling their organically grown fruits, veggies, even meats! We love all the vendors there, there is Artwork, Homemade Soaps, a Flower seller, Homemade Woodwork, Ironwork, Birmingham T-shirts, basically anything and everything local. There is live music, cooking demonstrations, and a water misting tent for when the kids get over heated (because this is Birmingham, Alabama, after all, so the Heat is pretty miserable!) The Market at Pepper Place also does a great job of providing eye candy, and actual candy, all of which distracts you from how hot it is! The Market also has a booth where, anyone who has Food Stamps, can purchase coins to spend at the booths (foods only, of course.) The cool thing about that is if a person spends $5 in Food Stamp Benefits, they will get $10 worth of coins! So the Market, early on Saturday mornings, is a great way to gain wholesome Healthy foods for your family. Get there early! You’ll have a great time!

Fantastic open market with fresh produce, arts and crafts, and food vendors galore. I went for some local honey and came back with an armload of various treasures. And it is dog friendly! Well worth the time to visit if you can catch it open! 👍🙂👍
