  • This little spot is most interesting and it is free. Read the placards that are set up and you will get a history of the camp’s origins. Interesting fo sure.

  • It's only open fully on weekend afternoons, but the grounds are always open and free. Gorgeous recreated church, a train engine from 1909 in spectacular shape. Most of the old fort is gone, only...

  • Nice and quiet place. Unfortunately the church was closed when I was there and had no chance to visit it A good opportunity to see an old steam locomotive and to be impressed by its dimensions. The left side of the locomotive, the one facing the nearby railway, would need more maintenance as in some spots the paint is falling off and in general, mainly considering the pigeons living under the roof, it would require some cleaning.
  • Lovely, peaceful grounds. A pretty covered open building housing the rail engine. Plenty of pigeons/doves roosting above it so don't get past the railing! There is also a gorgeous old church on the grounds and the weather service building. Lots of sweet scented peonies on the grounds, a well maintained lawn, the perfect tree to frame photos of the beautiful church from the back, a pair of soft stained glass windows complete the site. The railroad runs behind it and the front of the site is framed by the street with lamp post signs.
