  • I'm so glad that Virginia Tech has chosen to preserve the memorial in the way students originally built it. I was a student at the time and remember going there when it was just a makeshift...  more »
  • April 16 is a date that has been etched into VT history. I remember reading about it in the papers when it occured, but it was a different experience seeing the halls of the Mechanics building where the tragedy occured. The memorial aptly reflects those 33 lives that were lost in the form of 33 stones in a semi circle. RIP. And a small bench nearby in memory of those who survived it.
  • It's always important to remember horrible accidents like this so we can try to be more aware of the people around us and help them when they need it. This is a great memorial to those who lost their lives in this needless act of violence at VT many years ago and of the spirit at VT to rise above challenges and overcome any obstacle in your life.
