Blanco State Park Reviews
Park was very clean and the river is the perfect temperature. Great for families or couples. Will definitely be returning to this park. more »
The water was awesome, since they have had a lot of rain. Bathrooms were dirty, and only one person in the office. A little crowded, but everyone was polite. more »
Natural water pool, shallow and deep water, easy river access, picnic areas, camping, and relaxed tubing. Great for all ages. We love renting the giant pavilion for big parties, check website for price (~$100?). Everyday entry is just $5/person (or buy an annual pass, and it's free!). You can't beat this state park for a day in the hill country, just an hour north of San Antonio on 281. My recommendation is to go to the south shore. Less crowded and plenty of water access (although not as close to the pool).
Nice trail to take a short hike. Trail is about 2 miles around. Mature trees will provide you the shade you are looking for in those hot summer days. After the hike cool off in the designated areas in the river. The camping area also looks really nice and has a lot of matured trees as well.
