  • Our family loves Wonderlab! We just moved to Bloomington and bought membership after our first visit. This is a fantastic place to explore as a family, but also to give my 4 year old a chance to stretch her legs and exercise a little independence in a safe and enriching environment. The staff are excellent - enthusiastic and helpful, and they made us feel so welcome from the moment we stepped through the front door. The variety of exhibits ranges from physical challenges (the “climbing nest” is my daughter’s favorite installation) to engaging exhibits that demonstrate scientific principles through play. The garden attached to the building is lovely too, and we have often stopped by to participate in free science demos while taking a break from a bike ride on the B line. Overall, this is a great place for kids to learn, play, and even socialize. The only real recommendation I have is to double check their hours as they do change a bit in summer. If you’re not sure just give them a call, and someone is always happy to help on the other end.
  • My granddaughter had a great time here today. I thought Friday might be crowded, but there were only about a dozen people. We were there from 10:30-2:00. The place was really quiet around 1 unless they were upstairs. There was one family coming in when we were leaving too. She was bouncing back & forth from Bubbles to water table to scarves tube. I'm sure we could of stayed another hour & not been bored. There's so many different things for kids of various ages to do here. Plus I saw a couple adults having fun as well as I was. The staff was very friendly & helpful. One lady was great with the kids showing them the Madagascar Hissing Roach & telling us about them. She got one out for them to pet. Also staff showed us a little more about the kinetic ball some interesting things to do. She sat there & turned it for awhile to show us how the 4 metal balls trigger the big ball on outside machine. My granddaughter was wondering what that bigger ball was on top for. Kudos to this lady. Sorry I didn't get her name. Thanks to the wonderful, friendly, helpful staff for making this trip awesome.
