4.6
Open since 1943, Mercier Orchards brings people together with nature in various fruit picking events. The orchard features U-pick opportunities; apple picking is the most popular and the site offers more than 35 different varieties of the fruit. Depending on the season, you can find strawberries, cherries, blueberries, peaches, plums, nectarines, and pumpkins in this countryside haven. The orchard features a bakery and deli store, a fruit market, and a winery. You can buy fresh fruits and fruit pies, ciders, dressings, and sauces, fruit jellies, butters, and preserves on site and taste specialty candies, such as apples dipped in dark or white chocolate fudge, or glazed nuts and brittles. If you're not sure what to choose, try a staff favorite--the apple cinnamon bread. Plan to visit Mercier Orchards during your Blue Ridge vacation using our convenient Blue Ridge trip maker app .

  • This place was amazing. Great shopping, delicious apples, and apple products. The cafe was so yummy. We were here twice in a 2 day span. We had lunch one day and breakfast buffet the next day. The waffles and biscuits were bomb!!! The burgers and coleslaw was awesome. Ask for Robin as your server, she was sweet and on top of everything!
  • We stopped here as part of our girls weekend. We had lunch at the cafe and the food was FANTASTIC. Robin took care of our party of 6 and went above and beyond with her customer service skills! You also get an appetizer of donuts before your food. 💜 We also did the sampler at the bar. Yum! Super worth the price. The sample counter is really great and the bakery is YUM! We enjoyed it so much we stopped to shop again before leaving for the weekend and caught the breakfast buffet. 10/10 do recommend. We are already planning to visit again in the fall!
