  This is a great place to cool off and relax on a hot summer day. There were several of us that went one afternoon. Only $5 per car! Picnic tables, changing rooms, and some concessions. I would recomme...  more »

  Great little area to let the dog swim. We were lucky and had the whole area to ourselves with our golden. She loved swimming in the water and it was great to have a dog friendly section. Not sure how ...  more »

  Morganton Point is slightly difficult to find based on the location of the signs leading in from route 60. However, once we figured out our mistake and got onto the right road, it was not difficult to find. The recreation area is clean and inviting. It's very nice that there is public access to restrooms, changing areas, and showers. Having the option to rent kayaks and rafts is also a great amenity. We lost track of time because we enjoyed swimming and taking in the beautiful mountain views.

  Morganton Point campground is one of our favorites! It's a small campground, but the sites are very spacious and private. The public bathhouses are cleaned throughout the day and are always in good condition. A number of sites are waterfront with easy access and there's a mix of electric/non-electric sites throughout. We've been there 5-7 times and the hosts are always great as well. We love it here!
