Located just off US 278, three miles west of the bridge to Hilton Head, Crescent Pointe is a world-class Arnold Palmer “Signature Course” situated on a spectacular piece of property that highlights the beauty of the Lowcountry. It’s Arnie’s only public-access course in the Hilton Head area, and it’s pure Palmer with generous fairways but challenging approaches to its many elevated, undulating greens. Four unique par 3s await and the three par 5s are all birdie holes, but all feature over-the-water carries to do it. Magnificent, century-old oaks, manicured conditioning and dramatic shot-making opportunities make this course a “must play.” Palmer Design took full advantage of the sensational property, adding graceful elevations and rolling terrain not usually found in the area. Uneven lies are the rule, not the exception, at Crescent Pointe. Spectacular marsh views and dramatic white sand “beach bunkers” that cascade down the water’s edge make Crescent Pointe’s hazards seem a little less hazardous. Add the grand oaks, pines and magnolias, and you have a setting that can’t help but inspire!Take a look at our Bluffton online vacation planner to schedule your visit to Crescent Pointe Golf Club and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

I played 3 courses on a short trip with my wife. She picked Hilton Head for an anniversary trip and rode along with me on some quick late night golf rounds before we went to dinner. I played Robert Trent and a port royal course and this was my favorite course/layout and my wife’s favorite views. Just like the other courses the conditions weren’t what I was expecting coming down on this trip. I heard good things about Hilton head golf and expected so much better. I regularly play a course that is in poor condition but even my course has better greens than the courses I played which is unbelievable. I can get over the cart paths, fairways, rough and just move the ball around but I’m not sure why the greens and fringe areas on these courses aren’t in better shape or faster. If this course was in better condition it would be a really nice track. It was a nice round though I had the course to myself teeing off at 5pm on a Sunday. I had a tee time at the Fazio course after playing Robert Trent night before but switched to this last minute which I am glad I did. Again I enjoyed the layout and scenery, just needs some work but that can likely be said for every course in the area except maybe sea pines which I didn’t get a chance to play.

A recent Google review gave this course 1of 5 stars. While they’re entitled to their opinion , that take is absolutely false. Crescent been a favorite of mine for many years. Unfortunately, the past caretakers let this course fall miserably. Yesterday was the 1st time I’ve been back in a number of years. While there is still more work to be done, it was 4 of 5 stars. Please keep working hard to bring this course back to its deserved 5 star status. The layout is top-tier. With a little more work you could charge $ 20-30 more per round no problem. Layout= 5 of 5 stars Greens = 4 of 5 stars Fairways = 3 of 5 stars Cart paths( not sure why this matters to people)= 3 of 5 stars Tee boxes = 2 of 5 stars Bunkers = 4 of 5 stars Staff & Clubhouse/Range = 5 of 5 stars
