The Boca Grande Historical Society, a 501(C)(3) not for profit organization, was founded in 1995 as an outgrowth of efforts by a small group of residents to celebrate the sesquicentennial of Florida's achievement of statehood in 1845. The Society views local and regional history as a dynamic process that provides a basis for an enhanced understanding of how the past has contributed to the present.

  • We toured through the small museum for about 30 minutes. It was nice to learn more about the area and see artifacts. I enjoyed most the shark teeth display and the board with various seashells...  more »
  • Two small museums are both worth a visit, The historical museum (behind Boca Bargains) is tiny but the docents are a wealth of information. The lighthouse museam is bigger and also wrth a visit.  more »
