Everglades Wonder Gardens, Bonita Springs

4.0
#3 of 7 in Parks in Bonita Springs
Admission is $12.00 for adults 13-64, $10.00 for seniors 65 and older, and $7.00 for children 3-12. Open Monday-Sunday from 9 am - 5 pm, except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The attraction has been a focal point of Bonita Springs since Bill and Lester Piper created the facility to rehabilitate injured animals. The park remained in the Piper family for over 78 years and has been non profit since 2015. It has become a place for visitors to enjoy the botanical gardens and see wildlife in an intimate way, something that modern parks cannot provide.

The new Everglades Wonder Gardens focuses on the botanical gardens, which has some of the most unique species of both native and exotic specimens from around the planet. The park appeals to the many visitors who frequent Southwest Florida from all over the world, as well as the local community and its residents.

  • A wonderful place to slow down and hangout with beautiful birds on the grounds. You can even feed them right from your own hands ! The grounds aren't huge so it's perfect if you want a quick getaway considering the sweltering heat in September. Not to worry tons of trees offering a wonderful canopy above with shade below👍🏻😉❤
  • It was a pretty little place, got a small morning walk in. They have food you can buy to feed gators, flamingos and I think there was something else but those were the animals we feed. Have never feed a gator before and boy was that an experience. Their growls can be felt if you are standing on the wooden bridge. The flamingos are super friendly and walk up to you expecting to be feed. Yes you do have to move slowly and hold out your hand for that, but it happened. It was a nice time coming here.
