Boston's "Little Italy"Politically Incorrect North End Tour

This is a new idea for a tour of the North End without all the formalities. As a life long resident of the North End and a former restaurant owner in the neighborhood I have been exposed to many North End Tours. Food tours, wine tasting tours, pizza tours, freedom trail tours etc.etc.and to be honest in my humble opinion they all seem frigging boring. My take on why they suck is that the tour guides for the most part are not from the North End and they seem to study a little bit about the neighborhood and give you a typical book tour.(GET A CD WALKING TOUR .SAME THING:))They did not grow up here to tell the tales of how it used to be and how it still is ,the Good, the Bad,and the Ugly. They tell you where the best cannoli is ,the best restaurants, and the best stores. Again in my humble opinion I think this is all bull shit. The places that take care of them are the best places.I personally don't want to suck up to any establishments so I am free to tell you the truth based only on where we would go if you are from the North End. Therefor if I go there with all the choices wouldn't you think that is information that makes sense.

My name is Anthony and I think it's time to take people on a fun tour. I'll show you all the places in the neighborhood that us natives would go to. Having a culinary background I am very knowledgeable about food and wines.I am going to try to make it a all inclusive tour we can talk about Italian wines and of course Italian food and I can show you some of the places where there is a story behind them such as old mob and non mob murders. This is all old stuff so we are safe from any retaliation:) We will do a quick glance at Paul Revere's house and the Old North Church. We will see the highlights of the neighborhood and show you the streets that Anthony from the prince spaghetti commercial ran. After approximately one and a half hour tour it will be high lighted with either a traditional Sunday Dinner in the home of a true Italian Icon --My Mother Maria (MAMA MARIA OR BETTER KNOWN THESE DAYS AS NONNA.:)or pizza from world famous (PIZZERIA REGINA ) eaten in a neighborhood playground like we did as kids. Yes there is no waiting in line for 2 hours to get pizza and yes it is comfortable at the playground. The menu for the house tour would consist of what we grew up with on Sunday dinner (Salad ,Home-made pasta with a traditional gravy with meatballs, bracciolas and sausages. For the tour purpose we will also serve a homemade tiramisu. You get the idea. Plus you get to see the home of a Italian family in the North End when there were actually all families that lived in this neighborhood.

The tour is more geared for Adults but teenagers seem to really enjoy them. Politically incorrect kind of sums it up. I was in the restaurant business for 30 years and don't want to do a tour that I have to be all trim and proper like you have to be in the restaurant industry no matter how much some people suck.Therefor if you are one of those politically correct types I suggest you take one of those boring tours. Don't misunderstand the tour will all ways be respectful but if you want the neighborhood experience we need to keep it real. I'm so confident we can have fun that if you are disappointed I will refund your money. Come out and try something different .We will have a good time..
