Good day trip from Houston. My 6 year old son liked the ice cream, but the factory "tour" (really an observation) wasn't that interesting to him. Overall, a good visit to pass an hour or so.

We had an awesome experience. They allow you to watch the factory floor from an observation deck up high (behind windows)…which is super cool. They were packaging all sizes of ice cream from the single serve to the giant ones they must sell to ice cream parlors. The gift shop is great as well. They have typical Blue Bell merchandise like t-shirts & mugs and they have a few extra cute things like baby toys & ball caps. The $1 scoops of ice cream are plenty big and they offer a lot of flavors at any given time. We tried Mocha Almond Fudge, Moo-llennium Crunch, Cookies n Cream, Peachy Peach, and Blackberry Cobbler. So good! It’s a great place to take the kids. They even give out little paper blue bell hats. We would highly recommend this place!

This is a cute little place to stop and get ice cream (would love to have more sugar free options besides vanilla). We stopped and took a look in the shop, and got a scoop, but didn’t get to do a tour since they are not allowing it right now. We will have to come back another time.
