Brewster Store, Brewster

Classic country store that has all the stuff you need, with plenty that you don't. Especially good for kids. Ice cream 40 ft away. Recommended!

Originally built in 1852 as a church this general store is not only a Brewster institution but I'd go as far as to say it is a Cape Cod institution. Definitely a must see if you are in the Orleans/Brewster area. Great place for kids too, with an old fashioned type candy area/display. Walking through The Brewster Store is most certainly a step back to a simpler time, a real slice of Americana that is today hard to find. As you shop and browse this 2 story historic building you will find almost anything you need from souvenirs to everyday items you may have forgotten to pack on your vacation. It also has a old fashioned counter area to grab a cup of coffee etc. The Brewster Store will definitely be crowded during peak summer months, that's why I tend to go in the fall when the Cape returns to a more peaceful spot.
