Bristol Motor Speedway, formerly known as Bristol International Raceway and Bristol Raceway, is a NASCAR short track venue located in Bristol, Tennessee. Constructed in 1960, it held its first NASCAR race on July 30, 1961. Bristol is among the most popular tracks on the NASCAR schedule because of its distinct features, which include extraordinarily steep banking, an all-concrete surface, two pit roads, and stadium-like seating. It has also been named one of the loudest NASCAR tracks. The track is billed as the "World's Fastest Half-Mile", although technically that honor belongs to the dirt surface of the Volusia Speedway Park.Use our Bristol road trip planning site to visit Bristol Motor Speedway on your trip to Bristol, and learn what else travelers and our writers recommend seeing nearby.

Had to go to the first Cup dirt race in over a half century. Was not dissappointed! Rained out on Sunday, so ran on Monday. Just like the old hometown track in the old days! And they paln to do it... more »
It was cool to be in such a great venue. Racing was more one groove than I would like, but they kept up with the track as well as could be expected. Great facility if your into watching racing... more »
This place is absolutely amazing and wonderful to be at. It's heart racing and exciting and so much fun to watch and see something that you don't get to do a lot of. It's also heartbreaking to see something like that whenever someone gets hurt. It's a one of a kind experience that you don't forget about. I would most definitely recommend this to anyone who loves racing and enjoys watching it live. It's a great place to go if you are looking for something to do and have a opportunity to be able to do it . You won't regret it and you will have a time of your life that will want to do it again and again. It's totally awesome to be able to watch it. It's a one of a kind event that you don't want to miss out on. It's a very different kind of environment and experience to be able to be there and see everything first hand. It's amazing. If you have never been, I would suggest that you don't miss out on it and that you try and make it to see it for yourself and feel the rush of it all. I highly recommend this to anyone
Bristol is the absolute best place to watch a race! Parking is easy. The track is well laid out. Not a bad seat in the house! This is a yearly tradition for me and a few other guys and we don't plan to stop any time soon.
