  • Great historical site in The Bronx. Horrible retelling of history by romanticizing the harsh realities of colonial life. Truly didn't take much from the tour. However, lovely grounds and I am looking forward to return with my daughter for our own historical tour. The Bronx is often overlooked in it's historical stature in NYC. Generally because the people telling the story are boring. My advice skip on the guide and do your own tour.
  • Sadly, ‘it’s a rare thing in New York City to find homes from pre-Revolutionary War Days preserved. Thankfully this one was and it has quite the story to tell. Well worth a visit. Especially to see the period furnishings and artifacts.
