This small (28 acre) estate has become a lovely and well-maintained public garden. There are lots of landscaped areas to explore with many varieties of plants, flowers and trees. There’s 2 mansions and a nice cafe in one. It’s free on Thursday if you can go then. There are lawn chairs spread around and you are welcomed to bring food and drinks, a lovely spot to relax in good weather. Worth a visit!

A beautiful oasis in NYC. A hidden gem. Good for a getaway from the hustle and bustle. Views across the Hudson to NJ and the Palisades are cool. The gardens are beautifully kept and there is a trail that takes you around the grounds. The terrace overlooking the grounds is a good place for a cup of coffee, light lunch or to set up your virtual office for the day (in silence, of course). Worth a visit. Oh, and the gift shop is a fun one, you will be sure to find a unique gift. Go on now and check Wave Hill out!
