In 1960, the estate was given to the City of New York, and Wave Hill is now a cultural center as well as a garden. Relaxing Sunday at this public garden. Admission takes cash and card. Military and family members get in free until Independence Day. If you love peaceful walks, fresh air, awesome views of the Hudson, you’ll love this place. The (plant) nursery is amazing. Really enjoyed my visit today and recommend it to everyone!! Also be aware of the rules: don’t touch the plants, and picnics are only allowed in specific areas (no blankets allowed, but you can sit/walk directly on grass). No pets.
Beautiful little gem in the Riverdale Section of Bronx. Beautiful views and manicured lawns and lots of great herbs, cacti, plants. Very well maintained. Two great Architectural homes with lot of history. Details are all super. The art gallery had some beautiful art. Food was delicious at the cafe. Overall a very good weekend afternoon spent in the historical grounds. Good for a half day trip.
