  • Given our time frame, we went on a short hike on Goose Falls Trail. It was enough to wet our appetite to visit again. The lovely woods hugged the water. The trail was well maintained. One must be....  more »
  • Got there too late to hike but found a sweet little spot that featured a long stairway to a ramp and a dock. The evergreens had the longest and thickest light green moss hanging from the branches that I have ever seen in Maine. The entire scene was beautiful.
  • The Goose Falls trail is outstanding with it's glimpses of Penobscot Bay, leaping schools of menhaden under siege by seals, seabirds, and moss and lichen covered rock outcrops. Children enjoy watching for the red trail signs and completing a successful hike with a few challenges thrown in. The carpet of bunch berries was a spectacular sight!
