This community museum preserves the Brownsburg area's artifacts. If you are visiting Rockbridge County, come by to see crazy quilts and antique pie saves from the 19th century! more »

A great little museum which is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. I was in Virginia from the UK and by chance came across this museum. I am glad I did. Brownsburg is a charming little town and this museum is run by lovely local volunteers. The main room gives a real insight into the regional history of the area and during my visit there was also an incredibly interesting exhibit on milling and distilling in the area. Admission is free so I would certainly recommend popping in, whether you have lived in the area all your life, or are only passing through.
